LORAIN NATIONAL BANK OPENS NEW ELYRIA OFFICE JANUARY 16; KARA ODOM NAMED MANAGER OF CHESTNUT COMMONS FACILITY

ELYRIA – January 4, 2007 – Lorain National Bank announced today that it will open a new office January 16 in Chestnut Commons in southern Elyria.

The bank also announced that Kara L. Odom, who has served as manager of LNB’s Lake Avenue office, has been named vice president and manager of the new full-service facility.

The office, which is one of the first businesses to open in the Chestnut Commons development, is located at 105 Chestnut Commons Drive, which is near Rt. 57 and Chestnut Ridge Road.  Chestnut Commons will be anchored by a Super Wal-Mart, which is scheduled to open this spring.

Odom joined Lorain National Bank in 1990, working in a variety of retail banking positions in the bank’s branch system. She was named branch service manager of LNB’s Lake Avenue office in 2003 and assistant vice president and branch manager in 2005.

A graduate of Vermilion High School, she attended Lorain County Community College and Kent State University.

She has served as a volunteer for a number of local organizations, including Second Harvest Food Bank, the Lorain County Free Clinic, Lorain County Junior Achievement and the Ohio Veterans Home. Odom and her husband, Paul, and their daughter live in Amherst.

“We are eagerly anticipating the opening of our new office. Kara and her staff of experienced professionals are excited about serving this fast growing area and its residents,” said Daniel E. Klimas, president and chief executive officer of LNB.

The 4,000 square-foot free-standing building, which was constructed by Prete Builders of Vermilion, a longtime LNB customer, is located in one of the fastest growing areas in Northeast Ohio. The new office will have three drive-up teller lanes and a drive-up ATM and a night depository. The office features a contemporary lobby with multiple teller stations and an attractive new accounts center. The office also has space for commercial banking, private banking, trust, investment and mortgage specialists.

This is the second new branch the bank has opened in Lorain County in the past year. LNB opened an office in Providence Square development in North Ridgeville in July. That office is located at 34085 Center Ridge Road.
